Monsurat 'Lape' is an Accounting graduate from the University of Ilorin and MBA from the University of Hull. She started her career at Chartered Bank in Nigeria. She has also worked at prestigious institutions such as Northern Trust, Schroders Investment, Newton Investment, Morgan Stanley, S & C and Macquarie Bank all in the United Kingdom.

Monsurat 'Lape' holds an Investment Administration Qualification from the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment UK (CISI), Business Analysis Diploma and a certificate in Prince 2 Project Management. She had attended various management, leadership and entrepreneurship courses in various organisations.
